HR -Hot Rolled Coils

Hot rolling involves rolling the steel above its re-crystallization temperature (typically over 1700° F). At this temperature, it can be shaped and formed easily, and the steel can be made in much larger sizes.

Post the milling process at high temperature, the steel cools off and shrinks slightly thus giving less control on the size and shape of the finished product when compared to cold rolled.

Hot-rolled coil is used to manufacture steel structures, pipes and closed sections, as well as to enclose structures and facade elements. Shaped and round pipes are mainly used in this industry for:

  • Support steel structures and frameworks of industrial and civil facilities

  • Protective enclosures for various utility lines (wires and cables, plastic or other channels)

  • Support of main pipelines, water lines and heat supply networks, bridges and trestles

  • Sewerage lines, flue ducts and ventilation systems

  • For road construction – poles, guides, drainage elements, lighting columns and crash barriers

  • Steel structures for use in sports grounds and children's playgrounds, to erect fences and partitions, and in other solutions
